About

Kiki is a thirteen year old witch who leaves home to complete her witch training by living by herself in another town for a year. She leaves at midnight, on her mother's broomstick, under the light of a full moon. She and Jiji, her talking black cat, decide to live in a city by the ocean and Kiki starts to live in a bakery helping out and running her own 'Flying Delivery Service'.

Personal Comments

I finished watching Kiki's Delivery Service with a smile on my face and warm fuzzy feelings in my heart. It's that type of film. Kiki goes through troubles, such as almost losing her magic!, but everything turns out alright in the end.
The animation is well done, with bright and cheery colours and lots of flying sequences. I personally didn't like the character designs but they grew on me. They're sweet, but not pretty.
A piece of trivia to know is that Kirsten Dunst (Interview with the Vampire, Spiderman) did the voice of Kiki. I didn't recognise it as her. But all the voices sound great, it is a good dub.
