About

Hikaru, Umi and Fu, three college girls are given magical powers through three deities-Lexus (Hikaru's), Selece (Umi) and Windam (Fu) and are guided by Clef, a priest from Cefiro, an alternative world. Among the mess, Hikaru, Umi and Fu must save the earth and Cefiro as Princess Emeraude is trapped in an eternal dream where Zagato, her one, true love, is somehow still alive, even though he sacrificed himself and made his wish for the eternal life of Cefiro to the darkest cloud. At the same time, they must fullfill their wishes of staying friends forever, after making a vow to each other under an oriental cherry tree or "Sakura" and Mokona, the ledgendary fairy who lives in the tree must grant their wish.

Now everyone is undergoing a test for the life or death of the two worlds, including the three girls. Enemies who worship Emeraude and is under the power of her younger brother, the sadistic Eagle, fight everyone who is trying to save both worlds. It was Emeraude's wish for everyone to love her, and by making everyone do so, a world has to be destroyed so that her wish will be realised.

Personal Comments

The whole story is not related to Magic Knight Rayearth whatsoever. They just used the same characters (they all look older than in MKR) and make it in to a different story.

Most of the artwork is great, but the story is very hard to understand. After sitting down and watching it a couple of times, you begin to understand the story, but I am still asking myself questions about the story.

The characters are hardly described and you'll have to read or watch Magic Knight Rayearth to understand the girls' personalities thoroughly. Other characters have completely different personalities compared to the same characters in MKR.

A poor production for CLAMP.
